Character Counts
Dear students and parents,
Earlier this week, you should have received a letter in the mail about celebrating the character pillar for the month of May. This month's character trait is Respect along with the success skill, Resilience. Today, in place of student assignments, we are asking the students to participate in an activity for our Character Count Pillar for the month of May.
Respect means to treat others the way you would like to be treated. Be considerate of the feelings of others. Our success skill is Resilience. Resilience is to develop and draw on inner strength and courage. Like essential workers.
Under this pillar and success skill, pick a neighborhood essential worker such as, a mail deliverer, a repair person, sanitation workers, landscapers, maintenance workers and delivery people. In addition to picking an essential worker, we are also asking students to draw a picture at the bottom of the paper. Click on the links below to find a video on respect, a video on resilience and the activity.
