About Me

Hi! My name is Ms. Jordon and I am the school social worker at NFHS.  I am a licensed social worker (LMSW). I have a background in substance abuse, school counseling and working with adolescents. I attended Niagara Falls High School. After high school, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Hilbert College. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree, I went to the University at Buffalo and got my masters in Social Work. 

I run the Black Excellence Mentoring Program at NFHS and I am also the class advisor for the class of 2023.

What is a School Social Worker?

School social work is a specialized area of practice within the broad field of the social work profession. School social workers bring unique knowledge and skills to the school system and the student services team. School Social Workers are trained mental health professionals who can assist with mental health concerns, behavioral concerns, positive behavioral support, academic, and classroom support, consultation with teachers, parents, and administrators as well as provide individual and group counseling/therapy.
