    Hello Theatre Arts Students!

     

     

    Online Coffee House Performance

     

    I would like to organize an online Coffee House performance for May 2020. I am encouraging you to find a monologue to study and perform. You are welcome to video your performance of the monologue for discussion and critique (THIS WILL NOT BE GRADED). If at all possible, please choose two contrasting monologues (drama and comedy) for the performance. If you cannot find one, please contact me and I will assist you.

     

    Answer the following questions to assist you in preparing your monologue(s) and email your answers to me no later than April 30, 2020. 

     

    1. What is the title of your monologue?

    2. Who is the playwright?

    3. What is the plot?

    4. Why did you choose this piece?

    5. Who are the protagonists and antagonists?

    6. Which character do you most identify with and why?

    7. What social impact does the piece have on you?

    8. What social impact does the piece have on society?

    9. What are the technical elements and how do those elements enhance the piece?

    10. What are your answers to the Creating Character questions?

    1. Who am I?

    2. What do I want?

    3. What do I do to get what I want?

    4. What is in my way?

    5. Where am I?

    6. What surrounds me?

    7. What time is it?

    8. What is the situation?

    9. What is my relationship to others in the situation?

     

    PLEASE EMAIL YOUR VIDEOS TO ME AT dwilson@nfschools. net. ALL VIDEOS MUST ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING RULES: 

     

    1. No other person(s) shall be featured in the video (foreground or background).

    2. No identifiable objects that may suggest your location.

    3. Absolutely no vulger, offensive or lewd material in the video.

    4. You MUST follow the school code of conduct and dress code.

    5. Videos will be reviewed by administration before being posted.
