From the Director of Indian Education
I am Noreen Kim Hill, a Mohawk from the Six Nations Reservation, Turtle clan. I have been employed for the past 21 years with Niagara Falls City School District as the Project Director for Indian Education.
I graduated from Niagara Falls High school in 1976, attended the University of Buffalo, Advance Training Center and received a number of certificates across various areas related to my job from Washington, D.C.
I am a single mom of a 39 year old wonderful son who is my world. I am the eldest of five children and the eldest grandchild of 68.
I am or have been a Board member or a member of the following organizations: NAIL’S - Native American Independent Living; United Way of America; Human Rights for the City of Niagara Falls; Niagara County Youth Council; National Indian Education; Indian Education Association of New York; Niagara Falls Public Library; Title IV Indian Education Association Parent Committee chairperson; Focus on Family; Indian Defense League of America; and the Native Women’s Association.
I am content with my career choices of working for and with my people throughout my life. My experiences have kept me humble and grateful.
