• NFBOE Prep Level Robotics

    The Niagara Falls Robotics Team consists of 10 teams from LaSalle and 6 teams from Gaskill.

    The VEX IQ Challenge, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, provides elementary and middle school students with exciting, open-ended robotics challenges that enhance their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills through hands-on, student-centered learning.

    The VEX IQ Challenge fosters student development of the teamwork, critical thinking, project management, and communication skills required to prepare them to become the next generation of innovators and problem solvers.

    Award Definitions
    * The Excellence Award is presented to a team that exemplifies overall excellence in creating a high quality VEX IQ robot.

    * The Teamwork Champion Award is presented to each of the two teams on the highest-scoring alliance in the Teamwork Challenge finals.
    * The Robot Skills Champion Award is presented to the team with the highest combined Programming Skills Challenge and Driving Skills Challenge score.
    * The Teamwork Second Place Award will go to the two teams on the second-highest scoring alliance in the Teamwork Challenge finals.
    * The Judges Award is presented to a team that the Judges determine is deserving of special recognition.
    * The Innovate Award is presented to a team with a specific, unique engineering element that demonstrates "outside the box" thinking.
