FROM THE DESK OF MR. WOJTON, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
Spring is right around the corner! As we work our way to warm weather and sunshine, we have a number of exciting programs taking place at Gaskill Preparatory School.
21st CCLC Programs: academic, enrichment and social emotional program are in full swing! A number of new clubs and activities have started, checkout the school website for a list of March/April program offerings.
Drama: staff and students have put in a lot of extra time and effort in preparation for the Lion King Jr performance scheduled for April 5th and 6th.
Spring Sports: students are eligible to participate in track, softball, and baseball. Students must be academically eligible and pass a sports physical. Please see your physical education teacher with any questions.
The Gaskill Building Level Safety Committee along with partners from the Niagara Falls Police and Fire Departments recently collaborated to confirm building level safety procedures. As a reminder, students use sidewalks and appropriate walkways to ensure your safety when leaving the building. When crossing Hyde Park Boulevard or any local street, use crosswalks and abide by appropriate traffic laws.
Beyond the array of support programs, teachers and staff continue to do a great job preparing students for the next level, whether 8th grade or Niagara Falls High School. If a student needs extra support, Academic Study Period (A.S.P) is available every day from 7:50 am to 8:34 am. As previously mentioned, after school clubs and support services are also available for student support.
At any time that you may have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Thanks for all you do!
