Monday - Day 1
E.L.A. – With an adult, listen to the story: Bread Comes to Life, by George Levenson. Discuss what it means to make something “from scratch.” At the end of the story, continue listening to learn about other things that can be made from natural things.
After listening to the story, discuss how wheat grows and how grains are gathered. Then, write down 3 types of bread you heard in the story. Write a sentence and draw a picture of your favorite type of bread to eat.
Skills – Go over the 24 sight words. Write them out on index cards.
Math – Count to 100 by 10s with an adult. (Unit 5 1.2-1.5)
Watch the following video: Geometry and Shapes in the World
Look around your home or outside, see if you can find some objects that are circles, squares and triangles. Pick one and of each shape and draw a picture in your notebook.
Science –Go outside on a nature walk. Use your senses to observe the world around you. Write a sentence and draw a picture of something you noticed. Then, write out a Weather Forecast for today.
Tuesday – Day 2
E.L.A. – Reading Worksheet 1
With an adult, listen to the story Pie in the Sky, by Lois Ehlert
After listening to the story, have your child write the recipe for a silly pie. Help your child write a list of 3 ingredients. Have them illustrate each ingredient.

Wednesday – Day 3

With an adult, listen to the story The Little Red Hen, American fable.
Discuss the steps the Little Red Hen took to make the bread. Write a sentence and illustrate your favorite step.
Skills – Use the 24 sight words above and sort them into groups with the same beginning letter.
Math – Practice writing 0 – 20.

Science – Discuss weather words with an adult. Write down and illustrate 3 different words.
Thursday – Day 4
E.L.A. – Reading Worksheet 3
Review the 3 stories from this week. Talk about how they were similar/different. Write a sentence and draw a picture about how they were similar or different.

Math – Practice counting to 100 by 1s and by 10s.

Friday – Day 5
E.L.A. – Worksheet: Reading 'at' words.
Talk with an adult about something that you know how to make “from scratch.” Write and draw about what you can make and include a list of ingredients and a picture.
Skills – Review ALL sight words and use them to make a few sentences.
Math – Count to 100 by 1s and by 10s.
