• Enrolling in School

If you have moved or are new to the Niagara Falls City School District, please register your child at Central Registration, which is located at 630 - 66th Street.  Parents transferring students from another school district should bring a copy of each child’s Birth Certificate, medical records (including immunization records), proof of address and educational records.

The entrance age for Pre-Kindergarten is four years old on or before December 1st.  Kindergarten age is five years on or before December 1st.  There are no exceptions to this State-recommended beginning age.

A student registration form must be completed by the parent/guardian.  All information is confidential and is kept on file in our office.  It is very important that we have all up-to-date information; therefore:  ALERT THE OFFICE IMMEDIATELY OF CHANGES IN YOUR CHILD’S ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER OR EMERGENCY NUMBER.

    • Upon registering, a birth certificate must be presented as proof of age.  A birth certificate is the only legal document accepted for proof.  A form from the hospital cannot be accepted.
    • Record of immunization must be presented.  All immunizations must be current and up-to-date.
    • Verification of address must be presented at the time of registration.  Utility bills, lease agreements, or a notarized statement of address from the landlord or social services verification of address are acceptable.
    • In some cases, proof of legal custody will be required before registration can be completed.

    Withdrawing from School

When moving out of the District, parents should begin the registration process at the new school.  The school will then fax a Records Request to us at (716)278-7979.  We do not drop a child until we receive this request.  We will forward all records directly to the new school.
