Tracing My Name - Write your child's name on a piece of paper that will be large enough for them to trace; using a black marker works best.  Give your child different colored markers or crayons to trace the letters in their name.  As they trace encourage them to hold the marker or crayon with correct writing grip; it might be necessary to provide hand over hand support. Also, make sure they are saying the letter name as they trace.  Allow them to trace several times using different colors.

Name Puzzle - Write letters of your child's name on separate pieces of paper.  Mix up the order of the letters and encourage your child to put them in the correct order; like putting pieces of a puzzle together.  If needed, write your child's name on another piece of paper as visual resource. Eventually your child will not need it!

Shapes -  Use toothpicks, uncooked spaghetti, sticks, straws, jelly beans, etc.  to make different shapes (circle, square. rectangle, triangle).  Have your child make shapes in defferent sizes as well.

Count to 5 - Gather 5 objects (toys, coins, cotton balls, really anything you want) and touch each object as you count them.  Write the numerals 1-5 on pieces of paper; have your child place the correct number of objects for each numeral.
