Your child has green and blue sight words that I included in the package I sent him/her. Please have him/her cut out the words (scissors included). You will need a baggie to keep them in.
Helpful tips:
- Your child should always be looking at the first letter of the word while reading. If not, cover up the word and just show first letter to force eyes to begin there.
- Do not allow your child to "sound out" the word. These are words they must know automatically.
- Put aside the ones they don't know and try to show them one unfamiliar word per day and practice making it with magnetic letters (included in package), writing it on dry erase board, rereading it, notice it when you find it in books, etc.
