To my now First Graders:

I just wanted to let you all know what a pleasure it was to be your teacher this year. I'm so sad that we never got to say goodbye, but know that I think about you all everyday and I miss you so very much. We learned a lot in the short time we were together and you are all truly wonderful children. I hope you had fun and enjoyed your time in Kindergarten! Also, I'm so glad that my classroom is in the 1st grade hall, because that means I will get to see you each day once school resumes. (I look forward to some hugs as you walk by my room, by the way!) 

I hope you have a fun (and safe) summer and I look forward to the day we can see each other again!

Just remember:

"Goodbyes are not forever, they are not the end.

It simply means 'I'll miss you' until we meet again."
