    Most of your assignments this week will be done on your ZEARN and Moby Max accounts. To sign into Moby Max, you must first sign into your Clever account and then choose Moby Max from the available applications. The first time you sign into Moby Max, please make sure to read the announcement in the upper tab for special directions from Ms. Palmer on how to access your assigned lessons and fluency practice. If you do not remember your sign in and password for either Clever or ZEARN send Ms. Snyder an email. or a mesage on REMIND.

    Monday

    1) Sign into your Moby Max account through Clever HERE. Complete the next math lesson in your assignments.

    2) Once you finish the lesson, practice your multiplication fluency on Moby Max that is assigned.

    Tuesday

    1) Sign into your Moby Max account through Clever HERE. Complete the next math lesson in your assignments.

    2) Once you finish the lesson, practice your multiplication fluency on Moby Max that is assigned.

    Social Studies

    The next country we are studying will be Mexico. Your assignment for this week is to watch the Intro to Mexico video and complete the related quiz and game on your Brain Pop accountYou will need to go to your Dashboard to find the assignment.

    Focus Wall 17

    All of your ELA assignments for the week are posted here. This week's Journey's assignment is Lesson 17 and the anchor story is The Albertosaurus Mystery.

    Monday

    1) Vocabulary Intro: Follow the link to read or listen to an introduction to this week's key vocabulary words HERE beginning on Page 54.   

    2) Activity #1: On a sheet of paper, choose any two of this week's vocabulary words and use them in a complete sentence.

    3) Story Read-Aloud: Follow the link to read or listen to this week's anchor story The Albertosaurus Mystery HERE beginning on Page 58.

    4) Activity #2: On a sheet of paper, write down three interesting things you learned from the read aloud of The Albertosaurus Mystery and why you think they are interesting.

    Activity #1: Comprehension Check. Once you have read or listened to the story again, answer the following multiple choice comprehension questions listed HERE. You may write your answers on a separate sheet of paper if you do not have a printer. Remember to go back into the story to help you answer the questions.

    Activity #2: What's the Main Idea? On a separate sheet of paper write what you think the main idea is of The Albertosaurus Mystery. Use at least two facts from the story to support your answer.

    Follow the link to read or listen to the secondary story "Finding Fossils for Fun" HERE beginning on Page 80.

    Activity 1: Text to self connection - Be a Fossil Hunter. After reading about people who hunt for fossils, do you think you would like to be a fossil hunter? Write two paragraphs explaning why or why not. Include evidence or examples from either of this week's two stories to support your opinion. You can type in your answer and submit it HERE

    Activity 2: Answer this week's Essential Question: What can fossils tell us about the past? You can type in your answer and submit it HERE.    Answer this question using the RACE strategy. For a reminder of how to use the RACE strategy, look on this site's Learning Visuals Page HERE.

    Friday

    1) Writer's Workshop: This week, we read The Albertosaurus Mystery. Choose one of the two questions below to write about on a separate sheet of paper. Your written response must restate the question, be at least five sentences long and include a lot of details and reasons to support your ideas. The questions to choose from are: A) What would you do if you uncovered a fossil buried in your yard? or B) Imagine you could go back in time and see an Albertosaurus. What would you do?

    2) Log onto your Raz-Kids account HERE and listen to two books of your choice in your library. Then read the books out loud to somebody else. If you don't remember your sign in for Raz-Kids, contact Ms. Snyder by email or through REMIND.

     


    Science

    Your science assignments this week will be on Moby Max. You can access Moby Max by signing into your Clever account HERE. Your Clever sign in and password are your student numbers. If you do not remember your student number, please email Ms. Snyder or send a message through REMIND.

    Once you sign onto Clever you will find the Moby Max icon.

    When you sign in to Moby Max, the following science assignments are waiting for you to complete this week:
