    New Math: Teen Numbers

    Please help your child to cut and make a spinner using a paper clip, pin, barrette,  and a pencil.

    Teen number recording sheet

     They will spin, say and record the teen number on the sheet. Play this game throughout the week. Please recreate the recording sheet for additional practice. Use both spinners; the one with the ten and one rods and units and the one with numbers written.


    Problem of the day-To be completed in a notebook dated- will be collected at a later time

    Directions: Parents please read the math story to your child. In their notebook, they can show 2 ways to solve the problem. 

    Monday:

    Camden put 7 pepperoni pieces on his pizza. His mom added 3 more. How many pepperoni pieces are on Camden’s pizza now? 

    Tuesday:

    Emma saw 8 ducks in the pond. 3 swam away. How many ducks does Emma see in the pond now? 

    Wednesday:

    Cameron had 5 cookies at the party. Then his mom gave him 4 more cookies. How many cookies does Cameron have now?

    Thursday:

    Nessiah had 9 stickers. She gave 3 to Vincenzo. How many stickers does Nessiah still have?

    Friday:

    Daisy found 7 ladybugs in the garden. 2 crawled away. How many ladybugs are still there?

     Parents: With guidance, help your child TELL stories for the following equations.
