    Monday: Listen to the story Simon and Molly Plus Hester

    After listening to the story dicuss what happened at the beginning, middle and end of the story.  Who were Simon and Molly? What happened when Hester moved into the neighborhood? Were they all getting along? Why or Why not? What happened in the end? 

    Writing for MondayToday I would like you to make a list with an adult. Pretend you were having a friend come over to play. You need to make a list of the things the two of you will do together. Please make a list of 5 things you both could.

    Math: I planted 4 trees on Saturday and 4 trees on Sunday.  How many trees did I plant in all?

    Sightword Practice: Neatly Write in your notebook all 6 words. Using your flash cards practice this weeks words with an adult.

    After listening to the story think about why it was important for the intruments to work together. 

     Writing for Tuesday: draw a picture of your favorite instrument and write about why.

    Math: I saw 9 bees.  5 of them were on the white flowers and the rest were on the yellow flowers.  How many were on the yellow flowers?

    Answer in your notebooks, draw a picture to solve the problem and circle your answer.

    Rhyming Game Have children listen for words that rhyme. Have children raise their hands if the words rhyme, and keep their hands in their laps if the words do not rhyme. Say pairs of words, including: we and me, like and bike; to and do; bake and cake; paint and play; play and day; make and mess.

    Writing For Thursday: Have your child write a list of things they would like to do this summer. Number each item 1-5.
