    Ms. Rhodes Pre-K Class!

    Hello Pre-K Friends!

Thank you for visiting our class webpage! It is designed as a tool to help your child learn at home.  Providing children with the same schedule & familiar routines makes them feel secure.   Please click on the tabs on the left for these resources. Each tab represents some part of our day in pre-k.  You may wish to devote a specific area or table for your home schooling sessions.  Include; favorite toys, dolls, puzzles, blocks etc. as we learn best through play.  I will update the webpage regularly.

We miss you all and hope you are staying safe, and healthy.

    *WHAT'S NEW...

This week we have added several new read alouds to the literacy tab. For math talk to your child about Shapes: Identify the shape of different items in the house (door, window, area rug, pillow, etc.).  Make shapes-try using straws, pasta noodles, sticks or pipe cleaners.  Draw shapes with chalk outside or use water colors to paint them.  Play a game of "I'm thinking of a shape".

Outdoor Experiences:  Move a Ball:  1.  Explore the different ways balls can move or can be moved from one place to another.  2. Challenge children to think of all the different ways they can move a ball from one placee to another without touching, hitting, or kicking it (maybe a leaf blower or fan).  3.  Play Balloon Catch-try to keep the balloon or ball from hitting the ground.
