• September 18 – September 25, 2020

Dear Parents, Guardians, Staff and Students:

Our first full week of in-person classes in now behind us and I could not be prouder of our teachers, students, administrators and parents and guardians. Well done, Niagara Falls!

The first day of technology distribution (Wednesday, September 16, 2020) was a success. The process went smoothly and the District is pleased that so many of our students have the equipment they need for virtual instruction. Phase two of our technology distribution will take place on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. Please wait for a phone call from your child’s school to find out what time you can pick up the technology.

This feat of the resumption of learning (in-person and virtual) the last two weeks was not created alone. Returning to school was made possible by the extremely devoted teachers, administrators, board members, support staff, parents, guardians, and students who dedicated hours of work and practiced patience, calm and acceptance.

We have a long way to go until we see the end of COVID-19. But now we know this: together we can accomplish great things and we will accomplish even greater things to come.

    Stay well and thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Mark Laurrie

    Superintendent of Schools

Our own health care heroes... Sammy Sisler (aide) and Chanel Olszewski (nurse) are Niagara Falls High School graduates who are serving on the front lines, treating COVID-19 and other patients during this sad time. Thank you Sammy and Chanel and the many, many NFCSD graduates working in health care and in hospitals. We salute and thank you.
