Maintenance

The Maintenance Department is responsible for ensuring all district facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. Its core duties include:

  • Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, fire alarms, painting, roofing, and general repairs.
  • Safety & Compliance: Regular inspections, lead testing in water fixtures, fire/life safety checks, and adherence to state and federal regulations.
  • Facility Readiness: Preparing schools for the academic year, including cleaning, painting, and playground inspections.
  • Capital Projects: Collaborating on building upgrades and long-term improvement plans.
  • Event & Community Support: Managing facility use for public events and coordinating custodial services.

The department operates under the leadership of a Director, skilled technicians, custodial staff, and grounds crews. It plays a critical role in maintaining a safe learning environment and supporting district operations.
