• Mr. Yarger's Post of the Day

    Monday, May 4 -

Good afternoon and May the 4th be with you... So, as most of you have probably heard, we won't be able to get back into the classroom this year. It hurts knowing I'm not going to see you guys possibly until next fall when you move up to 8th grade. I would've never guessed that Friday, March 13, would've been the last day we strolled the hallways. Seeing all of you on a daily basis was the highlight to my days and it's sad not being able to be with you all. I hope at some point when all of this settles down I'll get the chance to see you all. But for now, there is still work to get done! You should be checking your teachers web pages almost daily for updates on class work. Remember, teachers are looking forward to you putting in effort and still finishing this year strong! I know it's tempting to slack off and just play Playstation, but don't do that! Stay motivated to finish up some work and prepare yourself for the next level as you move forward. Like always, if you have any questions, you can contact me by email. Hope to hear from and see you all soon.

    Sunday, April 19-

Hello everyone. I know it's been about a week since I wrote anything and I'm sorry. I know during times like these, it might be hard to find happiness and excitement. Don't let these tough times get the best of you, we will get through it quicker than you think. Think positive, my friends. Just think of memorable times in your life and talk about them, laugh about them and just reminisce a little bit. These are times to be productive. Catch up on work and read some books. If you accomplish certain goals during this, you really will feel proud of yourself. Like I said, I know we're living in dark times right now and don't know when life will return to normal. But don't let what is going on in the world drag you down. Find a way to spread cheer and happiness and follow all the guidelines to help stop the spread so life can get back to normal. Hope to see all of you soon. Keep looking at your teachers' webpages, they've been working very hard to upload assignments for you to do. And remember! Incomplete work will come back to bite, so get it done, try your hardest, and if you have any questions about anything, just remember I'm always here, your teachers are always here, and we'd be glad to walk you through any question you may have. I miss you all so much and hope we meet again soon.

    Monday, April 13 -

Hello again! I hope everyone had a fun, relaxing and safe Easter weekend! We're still under a lockdown, but it looks like numbers are decreasing, which is good! This past weekend, I had an article published in the Niagara Gazette that was really close to my heart. As most of you know, the spring sports season has been put on hold due to all this coronavirus stuff. So, I reached out to seniors in high school to talk about their emotions and how it felt to possibly have their last season taken from them. It's sad, but I worked hard on this and am just happy I can tell their side of the story. If you want to read it, click here. Also, furthermore, teachers have been posting assignments on their web pages! It is your responsibility to try and get those done! If you need help finding a teacher's web page, click here. Also, if you have a question regarding an assignment, you can reach out to me or your teacher! My email is Dyarger@nfschools.net. Hope you all have a great start to the week! Stay safe!

     Friday, April 10 -

Hey everyone! I hope everyone has a great Easter weekend and stays safe. In the meantime, if you're looking for something to read, here is a link to an article I published in the Niagara Gazette. It's one I'm excited about, as it's about a kid from Niagara Falls who plays high school basketball at the fourth ranked team in the country! Definitely an up and coming star and definitely worth reading! Click here if you'd like to read it! Take care and be safe!

    Thursday, April 9 -

What's up everybody? So, since we've been off I've been trying to write a lot, which you all know I love to do. Yesterday, my neighbor received a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny and it sparked my curiosity so much, that I decided to write about it. If you guys wanna read it, click here! I might not post on here this weekend, so if I don't I hope you all have a safe and relaxing Easter! Remember, keep practicing those good habits to help defeat this virus and get some school work done! Stay safe.

    Wednesday, April 8 -

Hope everyone had a great day! Not much to write about today, but I did start an article about a basketball player from our city and I'm excited to publish it in the coming days! I will post the link to the article whenever it is posted. I tell you what, I am really missing live sports. Being stuck in the house is tough enough, then take away sports. Oh well, they'll be back before you know it. Alright, stay safe, read books, watch a good movie and continue to help stop the spread so we can all be back soon!

    Tuesday, April 7 -

Good afternoon, boys and girls. I'm just getting started up on my website here. Hopefully this is helping you get through these times that we live in. Don't forget, you can click here to see a list of teachers webpages for our 7A students. I'm going to try and post blogs, photos, articles and stuff here daily just to stay in touch with all of you. My advice to you guys and girls right now: Stay home, stay safe, wash your hands and practice social distancing as best as possible. The more we follow the rules, the quicker life will return to normal. I know at your ages, this is all probably very confusing, and I'm here to tell you, it's confusing and just as crazy for us adults too! We're all living in this crazy time, but know this, if we work together and just follow directions, we will get through this. Kind of like school, you're just better off following the rules and paying attention :). Alright, hope you all are safe, practicing good habits and catching up on school work! Talk soon.
