    2017 Pharmacy Cost Savings Initiatives

The NY44 Health Trust and Pharmacy Benefit Dimensions has implemented a mandatory Mail Order program for all maintenance medications beginning July 1, 2017.  The program will provide 90 days of medication at 2.5 times the co-pay, if applicable.  Pharmacy Benefit Dimensions will administer the program, and work with enrollees to ensure prescriptions are filled with no interruption in service.  Any enrollee who is currently taking one or more of these maintenance (longer than two months) medications, should have received important information directly from Pharmacy Benefit Dimensions
Mail order is the process of having your prescriptions delivered directly to your home rather than having to pick them up at a pharmacy. As part of your coverage plan through NY44, maintenance medications, normally prescribed for long-term, chronic conditions, must be obtained via mail order. Maintenance medications are also listed on our member Drug Formulary with the letters MO.
By utilizing Wegmans Mail Order Pharmacy Services or ProAct Pharmacy Services, you may receive up to a 90-day supply of your maintenance medications by paying only 2.5 monthly copayments. Please note that only one (1) refill of maintenance medications will be allowed at participating retail pharmacies.
All questions regarding the drug formulary or mail order prescriptions should be directed to:

    How to Get Started

    1. Obtain a new prescription from your provider written for a 90-day supply plus refills for up to one year (as appropriate). Both Wegmans and ProAct can help with transitioning your prescriptions by contacting Providers for you.
    2. You will need your NY44 ID card when registering with the mail-order pharmacy. You may register online or mail in your forms through either Wegmans or ProAct.  You should confirm your registration by calling. Be sure to setup all medications as automatic renewal in order to receive your medications in a timely manner.
    3. Pay your copayment using your District HRA funds (M&T Benefits Card).
    4. Your medications will be shipped to you. It may take two weeks for you to receive your initial order in the mail, so make sure you have at least a 14-day supply before ordering or ask your provider for a 30-day supply to fill at your local pharmacy.
